About Bar Blitz
At Bar Blitz we organise chess events with the aim to connect people through over-the-board chess in a casual way without losing its competitive spirit. We work with venues that suit and recognise our platform, moving chess away from the traditional, formal setting into a new era of social chess. Everyone is welcome: our events are specifically designed to be accessible and fun for players from all levels.
- Log in (if you don't have an account, join Bar Blitz).
- Buy tokens using the "Add Tokens" button in the navigation bar.
- Go to "Tournaments" and choose the tournament you want to join.
- Click "Register" to reserve your spot.
- Arrive at the venue and check in with the host.
- Grab a drink, relax, and start playing.
Good to know
At Bar Blitz the official rules and etiquettes apply. That means that if you touch a piece, you are required to move it and that you must use the same hand to press the clock as you used to make your move. At the same time, remember that we play casual chess so be kind, fair, help beginners out if they struggle initially, and solve disputes between yourselves. We know chess can be intense, but Bar Blitz is all about having fun!
